Art Class for Adults: Black Mental Health with Mujale Chisebuka

We are excited to announce the return of our FREE Adult Art Class, celebrating Black History Month! In this round of classes, we have two amazing Seattle-based Black visual artists who will walk us through painting on themes relating to Black culture. Use what you’ve got at home, and no special skills are required! (Artists will be using acrylic paint.)

Black Mental Health with Mujale Chisebuka

When: Thursday, February 24th, 2022, 5:45 – 7:45p

Location: Online – Zoom (link provided after registration)

Age: This class is designed for adults (18+ years old), but young family members welcome

Description: In this class, we will visually explore the theme of Mental Health, in observation of the National Black History Month 2022 theme of Black Health & Wellness.

Materials: Recommended materials list below, but a writing or drawing tool and a surface to create on are all you need.

Tools/Supplies: Acrylic paint, markers, scissors, pastels, pen, pencils, crayons
Surfaces: paper, construction paper, canvas, cardboard
