Mochi Tsuki 2023
Mochi Tsuki is back! Come experience traditional mochi-making with sweet rice steamed over an open fire and pounded by you with a hand-crafted cherry wood mallet (kine) in a granite bowl (usu). Mochi Tsuki brings visitors from all over the Pacific Northwest and is one of the most popular events on Bainbridge Island. Form (and eat!) your own mochi, learn how to fold origami, attend a free performance by Seattle Kokon Taiko, learn obon dancing, and more. Admission is free.
