Tic’e’aasde dzaenn Winter Solstice at the Nave

For this tic’e’aasde dzaenn (winter solstice) The Nave’s Artist in Residence Melissa Shaginoff will be hosting a day-long event Saturday, December 17th 2022. Inside The Nave’s main hall an art installation, created by Jessica Denny and Melissa Shaginoff, will make a cozy and welcoming space to share stories, make art, and eat good food! In the evening the space will be filled by the musical talents of George Holly and Quinn Christopherson. Winter is the traditional time of year that Ahtna people share stories. So let’s gather and listen! All are welcomed!

• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Beaded Earrings (Ages 13 and up) *sign-up required please email mshaginoff@gmail.com to reserve your spot!
• 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Performance & Gathering (All ages welcomed) no sign-up required!
