There is a wonderful land,  far in the east. It has been a wealthy, fertile ground with streams of life, manifested though distinctive shades of literature, arts, music, cuisine, festival, attire, sports, and more. It is difficult, if not impossible, to quantify this richness. And we proudly call it our emotional identity. Back in the north western part of the United States, it has its own uniqueness and diversity. Can’t we contrast this with the glimpses of our heritage,  from that far away land?   “নিবে  আর দিবে  মিলাবে মিলিবে ”  in the spirit of all-embracing universality.  Or could it be little outlandish?  Who cares,  we chose to name this feeling of togetherness as ভিনদেশি (Bhindeshi).

Why should you become a member?

  • To be a part of a small Indian community wherein likeminded people come together to celebrate our rich culture and heritage through diverse events.
  • To give our kids a chance to experience the same warmth and nostalgia we enjoyed while celebrating those events back home in India.
  • To give back to the greater Seattle community that we are now a part of. To volunteer your time in building a culture of togetherness and inclusion in our community. Thereby sharing our values with the younger generation leading by example.
