Positive Frequencies Artist Reception

Join the Northwest African American Musuem for an Artist Reception to explore and experience NAAM’s latest art exhibit Positive Frequencies. Attendees will get to speak to the four featured artists in the exhibit as they discuss their process, their art, and the importance and power of music. In “Positive Frequencies”, artists delve deeper into the profound impact of music on our lives. Through these intricate mixed media pieces, they aim to capture the essence of different musical genres, representing the diverse array of emotions and experiences they evoke.

This exhibition features the artwork of C. Bennet, Eric Salisbury, Myron Curry, and Samuel Blackwell.

The Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) is housed in the historic Colman School building (built in 1909) which overlooks a beautiful, sprawling green park, named after rock legend, Jimi Hendrix, in the heart of Seattle’s Central District.
