Northwest Holiday Markets 2022
Winter is coming and with it, a slew of awesome holiday markets from organizations around the Northwest! Here are a few of the markets that especially made an impression on EchoX staff and board.

Nov 19–20, African Marketplace: Seattle, WA
Wa Na Wari’s African Marketplace is a weekend of shopping where you can find all sorts of crafts, art, and antiques for everyday use or that perfect holiday gift! It goes from 11 am–6 pm at Wa Na Wari in Seattle’s Central District. Masks are required to enter this space.
Nov 19, UnderGround Holiday Market: Shoreline, WA
From 10 am–5 pm on Saturday, November 19, ShoreLake Arts is hosting an “underground” holiday market in Shoreline City Hall’s open-air, undercover parking garage where you can find arts, crafts, festive music, workshops, and more!
Nov 19-20, Art Auction and Oyster Fry: Long Beach, WA
This Saturday, visit Chinook Nation for their Suquamish Holiday Bazaar an opportunity to eat a great dinner of fried oysters while getting ahead on your holiday shopping with art and jewelry made by Indigenous artists. The event will be from 4–7 p.m. and cost $20 at the door for entry. All proceeds from this event will support Chinook Nation.
Nov 19–20, My People’s Market: Portland, OR
My People’s Market is a collaborative event organized with the purpose of creating opportunities for business owners of color. While you do have to register in order to attend, the market promises a variety of activities such as a wellness area, music, and food and beverage.
Nov 19–20, Dec 3–4, Dec 17–18, Suquamish Holiday Bazaar: Suquamish, WA
Starting the weekend of Nov 19, the Suquamish Tribe will be hosting a holiday bazaar on Saturdays and Sundays until December 18 from 9 am–4 pm. You can peruse local Indigenous vendors and pick out handmade gifts for your loved ones.
Nov 19–20, Dec 17–18, Native Art Market: Seattle, WA
Also starting the weekend is United Indian of All Tribes Foundation’s Native Art Market. This Seattle-based market will have local Indigenous vendors with a range of gifts from prints to jewelry, from canned goods to soaps.
Nov 20, Craft Market: Olympia, WA
Craft Market is an Arbutus Folk School fundraiser craft sale where shoppers can support the cultural organization by purchasing crafts from the school’s many talented instructors!
Nov 25–Jan 1, Silverton Christmas Market: Silverton, OR
Silverton’s annual German Christmas market, the Silverton Christmas Market, is the perfect place to discover gifts from artisan vendors and imported German nutcrackers, smokers, and ornaments.
Nov 26, The Scandinavian Christmas Goat Market: Portland, OR
Get into julstämning (the holiday spirit) with the New Sweden Cultural Heritage Society’s first-ever annual Scandinavian Christmas Goat Market this November at Norse Hall in Portland, OR. The event will have Swedish food vendors, live music, and free Dala and Jul goat crafts for kids to make.
Nov 30, Seattle Gay NDN Market: Seattle, WA
Check out these Indigenous vendors at the Seattle Gay NDN Market, a Native Heritage Month market full of all sorts of cool art, live music, and pop-up performances just in time for the holiday season! All ages are welcome, the market will be held at Cafe Racer in Seattle, WA.
Dec 3, CMLC Winter International Bazaar: Corvallis, OR
This holiday season, Corvallis’ CMLC Winter International Bazaar is a great place to finish up your end-of-the-year shopping, discover unique international pieces (decor, textiles, jewelry, vintage items, and more), and support a good cause! Hosted by the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center (CMLC), a place where people of all cultures can come together in a “living room for learning.”
Dec 3, Weihnachtsmarkt: Portland, OR
Come drink glühwein (German mulled wine) and eat German food while visiting baby goats and vendors selling Christmas gifts! Portland’s Weihnachtsmarkt, hosted by the German American Society of Portland, will also have festive live music and a visit from St. Nikolaus (Santa Claus)!
Dec 3–4, Makers Markets By Heartful Rootz: Seattle, WA
The BIPOC-led Makers Markets By Heartful Rootz in Seattle is a do not miss for those in the city the first weekend of December. Find one-of-a-kind, handmade art by local Black, Indigenous, and people-of-the-global-majority artists. You might even find some custom-made items and/or classes!
Dec 3–4, Portland Holiday 2022 Market: Portland, OR
Visit a curated, diverse collection of designers and emerging brands and artists for jewelry, housewares, gourmet artisanal gifts, art, fashion, leather goods, and more at Unique Market’s Portland Holiday 2022 Market the first weekend of December. Unique Market is an independent, WOC-owned business and has only three pop-up markets a year so be sure to check this one out!
Dec 3–23, MESO Makers Market: Portland, OR
This year, support small businesses at the MESO Makers Market in Portland, OR. This is the Microenterprise Service of Oregon’s (MESO) second annual makers market and will feature BIPOC and local small businesses for all your holiday shopping needs!
Dec 4, Eguberriko Azoka—Basque Christmas Market: Boise, ID
Get your kids’ Christmas photos taken on a sheep wagon at Eguberriko Azoka—Basque Christmas Market, hosted by the Basque Museum and Cultural Center in Boise, ID. This fun Christmas market held the first Sunday of December will feature food and drink, vendors from all over, and lots of activities for kids! There will also be a performance by Boiseko Gazteak, the Center’s dance group.
Dec 4, Yes, Ma! Night Market: Seattle, WA
Yes, Ma! Night Market is a BIPOC small business, makers, artists, and creatives market held in Seattle, WA, the first Sunday of December. All are welcome at this no-entry fee market full of art, vendors, food, live music, plants, and drinks at El Centro de la Raza’s Centilia Cultural Center on S Roberto Maestas Festival St!
Dec 10–11, ScanFair: Portland, OR
Hosted by Nordic Northwest, Portland’s ScanFair promises to bring Scandinavia to Portland with traditional food and drink vendors; an entertainment program focused on cultural heritage; games, activities, and crafts; and welcoming local community organizations! There is an entry fee, but your wristband from day one will get you into the second day of festivities free of charge!
Dec 11–13, Native Art Market: Tacoma, WA
Browse products from local Indigenous artists such as jewelry, prints, accessories and more at this two-day Native Art Market in Tacoma has a variety of diverse, handmade items that are perfect for holiday shopping!
