Summary: Who are we? Enthusiastic amateur genealogists exploring family roots from all over the world in a fun, supportive, learning environment. Mission: Serving Kitsap County and Beyond. We’re a group of amateur genealogists located on Bainbridge Island, Washington in the USA. The group formed in January of 2005. We’re researching our ancestors from across the U.S. and the entire world. We are a diverse group with roots in New England, Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and even the West Indies. All are welcome to visit or join. So come to one of our meetings and check us out. The Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization registered in the state of Washington.

Local Genealogy Resources

Bainbridge Island Historical Society is the resource for researching the island’s history. They have a rotating exhibit gallery, a research library and monthly programs.

Bainbridge Island Library is a great place to do research with free wifi Internet access and a knowledgeable helpful staff.
