Nrityangan Kathak studio is a place where Chandrayee & her students learn, dance & explore their passion for dance. Chandrayee Bhattacharyya is one of the accomplished Kathak dancers from the “Lucknow Gharana”. She has been trained under Guru Parimal Krishna since she was 6 years old. She obtained her degree from Prayag sangeet samiti, Allahabad. Chandrayee’s passion for dance slowly led her into experiment, mixing classical Kathak With different kind of international dance forms & styles.

Chandrayee started her training at Bani Chakra Dance School Calcutta. She was one of the talented performer in Dover lane music festival, Calcutta. She is settled in Seattle for last 9 years now, before that she used to teach Kathak dance in UK. Chandrayee started teaching classical Kathak & experimental fusion style of dances which is a mixture of Spanish, Tap, Jazz, Salsa, African folk, Broadway style.

Kathak is the most graceful classical dance. Chandrayee is passionate about all the dance forms that encompass the representation of music, song, creative & experimental moves & guide me into an artistic bliss. Chandrayee & her students have been performing in various dance festivals & prestigious stages from 2001 to till now. She is also very much involved with her Workshop & her dance studio “Nrityangan” in Bellevue
