North Sound ACH exists to create a just and inclusive culture and the necessary conditions for all community members to thrive. We work alongside partners in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties, and with the 8 tribes in our region.
The Northwest Accordion Society brings together people “for the love of the accordion”. We publish a quarterly magazine, award scholarships and produce accordion events including Leavenworth International Accordion Celebration and Day of the Accordion.
The Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) is housed in the historic Colman School building (built in 1909) which overlooks a beautiful, sprawling green park, named after rock legend, Jimi Hendrix, in the heart of Seattle’s Central District. See ongoing virtual series: Historians on Hope. Each week, NAAM features words of hope from notable African American historians in our #HistoriansOnHope virtual series. We invite you to share these graphics on your favorite social media platforms. Be sure to tag us at @naamnw!

A nonprofit film and arts center located in Seattle, Northwest Film Forum presents hundreds of films, festivals, community events, multidisciplinary performances, and public discussions each year. A comprehensive visual media organization, the Forum offers educational workshops and artist services for film and media makers at all stages of their development. Northwest Folk Dancers Incorporated (NFDI) is a non-profit “umbrella” organization that promotes folk dancing and ethnic events. NFDI sponsors folk dance festivals and other folk events, provides dance descriptions and practice tapes at a nominal charge for NFDI members, and seeks new ways to promote all forms of ethnic dance.
Since 1972, Northwest Folklife has been deeply committed to celebrating the diversity of our Northwest communities and demystifying our differences together, under one roof. Our work centers on preserving cultural arts, bridging connections to heritage and identity, and cultivating the ever-evolving traditions of the Pacific Northwest.
