Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange (SPACE), funds, facilitates and promotes arts and cultural uses of Warren G. Magnuson Park for the public, serving diverse audiences and forging regional collaborations.
Since 1994, SPACE has helped develop a vision for arts and culture at the park, and, working closely with the City of Seattle, has advocated for creative re-use of the buildings within the Sand Point Historic District. SPACE envisions thriving arts and cultural activities at Magnuson Park, integrated with the community and fully engaged with and benefitting from the broader public.
SPACE fulfills its mission by:
1. Assisting artists and organizations working at the park
2. Producing and enabling cultural programming for the community
3. Activating new facilities for the arts within Magnuson Park
4. Advocating for and supporting preservation of the park’s historic assets
