The Spokane Scottish Country Dancers are a local affiliate of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, www.rscds.org. They originally began dancing as a performance group for Spokane’s 1974 World’s Fair and have continued to dance since then with the purpose of perpetuating traditional Scottish ancestral heritage and culture through Scottish country dance. The dance troupe says, “We still enjoy the opportunity to perform for local heritage and arts events. Our members attend dance workshops throughout the Northwest to meet and dance with fellow Scottish country dancers.” They will demonstrate the grace and style of the dances, so you can see how fun and easy it is! One does not need to have a partner or even to be Scottish to join them dancing! They meet regularly at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St. in Spokane. For more info, contact:
