Summary: First Nations @ UW is an undergraduate intertribal registered student organization at the University of Washington in Seattle. We host events both on- and off-campus with the intention of educating the community about Native cultures, spreading awareness to issues affecting the Native community and upholding our respective customs and traditions.
Mission: The mission of First Nations @ UW is: -To provide a community for Native American and Alaska Native students to help them succeed in higher education. -To reach out to Native American and Alaska Native communities and help our youth continue on into higher education so that they may return and strengthen our Native nations. -To bring awareness of Native peoples and issues to the University community. -To make alliance with non-Native student groups to pursue common goals.
