Come join the JCCCW at Seattle’s historic Nippon Kan Theatre for the first in-person Gala since 2019. The event will be held on Thursday, December 11th; doors at 5:30 PM and program starts at 6 PM. This year we will honor composer Paul Chihara for his work in bringing together Japanese and American institutions with his unique blending of traditional Japanese music with classical elements. You might recognize some of his compositions in Kiki’s Delivery Service or Farewell to Manzanar, as well as ballet scores such as Shinju and The Tempest.
