This event marks a significant milestone in the growth and commitment of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) to fostering entrepreneurship and bolstering small business growth within the King County service area. Over the past three years, ULMS has tirelessly supported Black and People of Color owned businesses, making a substantial impact in the community.
In 2022, ULMS initiated a dedicated entrepreneurial arm, led by the visionary Entrepreneurship Director, Deionte Petty. In just 18 months, this department has witnessed remarkable growth. The launch of the Entrepreneurship Center in south Seattle is a testament to this success, aiming to act as a sanctuary for aspiring and established entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on empowering individuals from Black and Indigenous communities of color.
