Join us for an evening of short films created by Oromo filmmakers from across the world, bringing together a range of stories that showcase Oromo heritage and their creativity.
The Oromo people are the largest ethnic group in East Africa, primarily from Ethiopia and Kenya. Although underrepresented in film, they have a rich tradition of using art and oral storytelling to preserve culture, resist erasure, and carry forward the voices of their ancestors.
A Q&A with a few of the filmmakers will follow the screenings, and complimentary snacks for all guests will be provided at the end of the event.
