Summary: We work toward offering opportunities for artists, young musicians to developing cultural and educational experiences with our new space. Besides BrasilFest, we created Arts Globo, a new program providing intergenerational safe space with activities programed in Des Moines. We prioritizing services to minority, vulnerable and at-risk populations through arts, educational program and for individuals artists. As recent anti-racism and anti-oppression efforts, we increased our board reflecting more diversity reflecting female as 60% of leadership, and 99% of immigrants as board of directors and staff.
Mission: Brazil Center seeks to serve a broad community of all ages and backgrounds offering opportunities for artists and organizations to establish connections developing cultural and educational experiences through music, dance, film, children activities, and exhibitions. We have been serving our community since 1999 with BrasilFest held at Seattle Center, and though community arts programing the King County.
