Mary Mahoney Professional Nurses Organization was first established as the Mary Mahoney Registered Nurse Club in 1949. Anne Foy Baker invited 12 other registered nurses to a meeting in her home to meet one another and discuss the idea of establishing a professional organization. Under her leadership, the organization was created with a two-fold mission: to provide information and support to one another, and to provide scholarship support to students pursuing education and careers in nursing.
United in their passion for sharing their culture, this group of extraordinary Seattle-based West African artists have come together to spread a message of joy, unity, and transformation. Employing powerful rhythms, high-energy dance, and songs steeped in the rich heritage of Guinea.
Mirabai is an engaging, soulful entertainer and a gifted belly dance artist who energizes her audiences! Her devotion to the dance, love of her audiences, and exquisite artistry make her a beloved dancer, entertainer, choreographer and teacher.

Movimiento Afrolatino Seattle (MÁS) is a grass-root 501(c)3 non-profit organization created by Afrolatino communities and artists that appreciate Afrolatino arts and culture coming together to ensure the sustainability of ongoing cultural and education arts activities focused on Afrolatinos and open to anyone who is interested ininterested in learning and preserving this rich cultural heritage.
We are in the business of growing food, community health, business, and community culture around delivery of the triple bottom line to historically absent or barriered communities.
