Kerning Cultures Network is an independent podcast company, raising the bar for audio storytelling and journalism in the Middle East and North Africa. We produce chart-topping podcasts in Arabic and English.
Carl Shutoff (clarinet in C) and Laurie Andres (accordion) constitute the Kesselgarden Klezmer Duo in Seattle, WA, where we have been playing together for the last 16 years. Our name comes from the way Yiddish-speaking Jews pronounced “Castle Garden”, the facility on the southern tip of Manhattan where Jewish immigrants entered this country prior to the opening of Ellis Island in 1892.
The Kilung Foundation serves and supports H.E. Dza Kilung Rinpoche’s Tibetan Buddhist teachings throughout the world, while helping to preserve and maintain the ancient Buddhist culture in his home community of Dzachuka, Tibet.
Exhibition programming at the Kimura Gallery focuses on national and international contemporary artists and artworks. The Kimura acts as a bridge connecting visual art to the UAA and Anchorage communities by exploring themes, ideas, and issues relevant to our times. Kimura exhibitions aspire to reflect current developments in art-making, and in culture at-large, while creating an opportunity for public dialogue regarding new work, diverse perspectives, and pertinent research. The Kimura Gallery is particularly committed to destabilizing existing colonial traditions, along with gender and racial inequities.
Kin On honors and supports our elders and families by offering culturally Asian and linguistically appropriate healthcare services in a healthy living community.
