Eastern European

The American Romanian Cultural Society (ARCS) is a nonprofit association striving to promote a better understanding of the rich culture of Central and Eastern Europe, with an emphasis on Romania and the American Romanian cultural heritage in the Seattle area. Our signature event is the Romanian Film Festival in Seattle hosted at SIFF Cinema Uptown every year in November, since 2014.
Balkan Night Northwest (BNNW) is a non-profit organization that coordinates this annual event dedicated to fostering a vibrant Balkan music and dance community in the Pacific Northwest. The volunteers who produce the event and serve as the executive steering committee are Christos Govetas, Ruth Hunter and John Morovich.
Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble was founded in 2004 under the auspices of the Ukrainian Association of Washington State. Currently we are the only dance school that offers Ukrainian Folk Dance classes in Washington State. Over the past decade our students have performed for various audiences, at cultural festivals and private events, and participated in many competitions. Our dedicated instructors are experienced and aim to give each student personalized attention while keeping an encouraging attitude.
BCHCS organizes traditional annual events such as a Christmas celebration, the Zlaten Orfei talent show in March, and the picnic at Lake Sammamish to celebrate Bulgarian Culture and Literacy Day in May. The Center organizes concerts, workshops, and visits of local and guest musicians, artists, and writers from the US and Bulgaria.
The Congress of Russian Americans, Inc. (CRA) founded in 1973, by a group of concerned Russian Americans, is a national organization with membership throughout the United States. Its members are US citizens and permanent residents of Russian descent who are non-Communist in their beliefs. The personal and social lives of most members are firmly rooted in religious Christian Orthodox values which reject all racial, nationalistic, ethnic, or religious antagonism.
Visa Centers are designated by the Russian Consular Institutions and are fully capable of accepting and processing documents required for a Russian visa forwarding them to the Russian Consular Offices from any individuals, organizations or companies (including travel agencies). Visa Center agents can consult a client regarding filling out the visa application, required documents, processing time and other visa formalities
