The Museum of the Aleutians is a cultural history institution for the Aleutian Islands and the community of Unalaska. The museum opened its doors in 1999 with the mission to collect, preserve, and research the cultural history and prehistory of the Aleutian Islands region. Through actively growing Unangax, Russian-American, WWII, and local art collections, the museum provides stimulating permanent and changing exhibits, as well as a home to researchers, visitors, and community members.
The Museum of the Oregon Territory is a regional treasure that overlooks Willamette Falls. Come explore the history behind the land and see how Willamette Falls transformed the region’s industry. MOOT is home to Native American petroglyphs and artifacts, the original 1850 Oregon City and 1851 San Francisco plat maps, a piece of the Willamette Meteorite, original belongings of Clackamas County’s earliest resettlers, as well as thousands of other objects, photographs, and documents that reflect Clackamas County history and culture.
We are an Indigenous women-led organization dedicated to the ongoing regeneration of Indigenous communities. Through grantmaking, capacity-building and community-based intergenerational programming, we seek transformative change by supporting culturally grounded leadership and organizing. Focused on Indigenous Ecology, Food Sovereignty, and Wise Action, we work to advance climate and gender justice, while creating healthy pathways towards self-determination and movement-building.
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) represents Tribal governments—both those that operate their own health care delivery systems through contracting and compacting, and those receiving health care directly from the Indian Health Service (IHS).
