Palo Alto, CA Nova Ukraine is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening civil society in Ukraine. We assist Ukraine in recovering from the economic and social crisis. We work closely with non-profits and civil activists in Ukraine to provide immediate response where it is most needed. Nova Ukraine is involved in raising awareness, fundraising, cultural events, and round table discussions dedicated to Ukraine and Ukrainian culture.

Bellevue, WA Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble was founded in 2004 under the auspices of the Ukrainian Association of Washington State. Currently we are the only dance school that offers Ukrainian Folk Dance classes in Washington State. Over the past decade our students have performed for various audiences, at cultural festivals and private events, and participated in many competitions. Our dedicated instructors are experienced and aim to give each student personalized attention while keeping an encouraging attitude.

Portland, OR Slavic Oregon Social Services (formerly ROSS) was established by Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon (EMO) in 1994 to serve the needs of Slavic-speaking refugees and immigrants. More than 100,000 Slavic-speaking refugees and immigrants from the former Soviet Union currently reside in the Portland metro area, and the numbers are expected to increase. Census figures show that no other place in the nation has had more of an influx from the former Soviet Union than the Pacific Northwest. Oregon is number two in the nation for Slavic-speaking newcomers.
