The mission of the M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery at Seattle Central College is to provide a formal venue for the Seattle Central community to experience the visual arts. The gallery emphasizes the display of student works and complements these with shows by professional local and regional artists as well as touring exhibits.
We are committed to providing educational programs, information advocacy and referral, including referral to different forms of financial assistance. We will also provide positive emotional encouragement and support that promotes personal growth, enrichment , empowerment, self-esteem, and pride in our cultural heritage, economic independence and self-sufficiency. We will work in the community to provide educational avenues and to create a more positive environment for life-long learning.
MadArt is a contemporary arts organization that supports artists in making new, installation-based works, while encouraging engagement with the creative process by remaining free and open to the public during all stages of exhibition development.
Made Space {formerly The Liink Project} is an Art, Culture, and Business Hub activated in early 2021. It is about connecting emerging Black creatives and entrepreneurs with resources, space, knowledge, and visibility. Beyond a space, Made Space is a concept. Its about partnership, knowledge and cooperative economics and THRIVING TOGETHER.
Founded by Pam and Philip Boulding, Magical Strings has been sharing the joy of Celtic music and dance in the lives of people around the United States and abroad since 1978. They have recorded 21 albums encompassing traditional Celtic arrangements, original compositions and subtle world music influences, collaborating with incredible musicians such as Dan Fogelberg, Garrison Keillor, Alex di Grassi, Amadou Jobarteh, and Keola Beamer. When not on the road, Philip and Pam teach, build instruments, compose, and seem to have boundless energy for their creative life which is nurtured at their home, Magic Hill, on a beautiful farm by the Puget Sound.
