Spokane United We Stand is a community-based organization comprised of volunteers from the descendants of Chinese & Japanese families who arrived in Spokane starting the 1850’s, along with Spokane’s Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders residents, COFA, immigrants & refugees. Representing: China, Japan, Vietnam, Hmong, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Korea, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Micronesia, Guam, Marshallese, Palau, Tonga, Hawaii, and more. Our mission is to use the arts to share about our history, traditions, culture, and our experience in America.
UTSAV is a platform to connect South Asians living in the Pacific Northwest with local communities while developing and empowering civic leaders to serve & support a wide range of youth, adult & family needs.
Registered in 2003, Uttoron is an IRS 501(C)(3) non-profit organization of People of Bengal based in Greater Seattle area of Northwest USA. The word “Uttoron” means “UPLIFTMENT”. Uttoron undertakes and promotes social /cultural events unique to Bengal and India. It’s activities supports the uniqueness of the diverse US cultural canvas and help build a bridge between the east and the west. Uttoron’s activities spans adjacent cities like Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish, Everett, Tacoma and Olympia and currently enjoy the participation of Bengalis coming from various regions of India and Bangladesh.
The Vedic cultural center practices respect of all people regardless of race or any other material designation because of the divine presence of God in everyone. Education for making enlightened choices in life is the primary goal of the VCC for spreading light and peace in the world.
