African

Oromia Freedom Media (OFM) is a non-profit media organization founded on January 1, 2021, in Seattle, Washington, USA. We are a large group of Oromos who are dedicated to serving our community here in the Seattle area and around the world.
Oshun Swim School seeks to create an Afro-Indigenous centered experience of water and swim-skill acquisition. Through healing-centered and trauma-informed courses and workshops, OSS strives to build a safer space for BIPOC womxn and non-binary people to explore our relationship with water, and grow into embodied, joyful swimmers. ​ This work centers frontline communities who have been historically excluded from swim environments, yet who bear the brunt of the climate crisis, and for whom swim skills are most essential.
PNW Pride produces events and activities to achieve inclusiveness, equality, respect, and awareness in Pacific Northwest region and beyond. Fostering diversity, unity, visibility, and dignity, we educate, support and celebrate equality as we advocate to build and strengthen community connections.
Through professional development resources, health and wellness initiatives, public art projects, media production, and more, PACE reimagines and re-forms the shared experience of the African Diaspora, so that we may be connected by our power rather than our pain.
