African

The Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington (AZISWA) was founded on January 22, 2006 in Seattle by Zambians living in the Puget Sound Region of Washington. AZISWA is a fully-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in accordance with the US Federal non-profit corporation code. AZISWA Membership is open to all area residents interested in the well being and development of Zambia as well as the welfare of Zambians in the Puget Sound Region.
As a sports-based community development organization, Baseball Beyond Borders (BBB) affords families and communities the opportunity to expose their youth to critical skills necessary for life through participation in the sport of baseball and softball.

Seattle resident and nationally known early childhood educator, Ms. Bunny Wilburn (1922-2014) founded BCDI-Seattle in the early 70’s. The first major initiative was National Black Child Development Institute’s (NBCDI) community Child Development Associate project to promote and advocate for the professional development of childcare providers.
