Indigenous American

We are a community library and online bookstore with books focused on social justice, ethnic studies, and liberation movements. We invite everyone to use our library space as a community center; come cozy up with a book, learn about social justice, and connect with likeminded people. The space and books at our library are free to everyone and anyone.
Federation Forest is a 574-acre day-use park with hundreds of acres of old-growth Douglas-fir trees, mature western hemlock, Sitka spruce and western red cedar. Its short, flat interpretive trails make the park an ideal destination for families with young children. The Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center is open June through August on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to dusk. During April, May, September and October, the Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center is open on the weekends depending on weather conditions.
Founded in 1980, First Nations began its national grantmaking program in 1993. Through year-end 2020, we have successfully managed 2,150 grants totaling more than $43 million to Native American projects and organizations in 40 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Territory American Samoa.
