Northern European

Misty City Morris is a women’s Cotswold-style Morris side located in Seattle, Washington, USA. The traditions we perform are Thames Valley Fieldtown, Ilmington, and Lake Union. The Lake Union tradition was created by Misty City Morris and our erstwhile foreman, Amy Brewer.
Danish Brotherhood Lodge #29 based in Seattle is a member of the National Foundation for Danish America (NFDA), which was formed in 2019 with the goal of strengthening cooperation among Danish American organizations and ties between Denmark (or Danish Culture) AND persons who have a special interest or relationship with Denmark. There are approximately 1.5 Million Americans who claim at least partial Danish heritage, and call themselves “Danish Americans”. We aim to provide opportunities for Danish Americans and their clubs and organizations to network, coordinate, share and collaborate in order to preserve and promote Danish culture and heritage in America.
The Nordic Museum is an internationally recognized museum and cultural center where people of all backgrounds are welcomed to be inspired by the values, traditions, art, and spirit of the Nordic peoples. Dedicated to collecting, preserving, and educating since its founding in 1980, the Nordic Museum is the largest museum in the United States to honor the legacy of immigrants from the five Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
The members of New Sweden community are coming together to preserve, communicate, document, and celebrate the Swedish culture and heritage through cultural events, newsletters, and articles. Our organization is inclusive and its members come from a variety of backgrounds some were born and raised in Sweden, some have Swedish heritage, and some have no direct connection to Sweden besides an appreciation of the culture.
To highlight, honor, educate, communicate, promote and celebrate Nordic culture and traditions, ancestral, modern and contemporary and to Provide value and serve members by developing and making available and accessible Nordic cultural and educational programming that is rich, authentic and forward looking.
At Northwest Danish Association (NWDA), we give you access to Danish culture and community in the Pacific Northwest. We are proud of all Denmark has to offer and seek to share unique Danish specialties and strengths with this region of the United States.
