Community Directory

Is to be the home for all African community organizations in Washington state. We are the place for collaboration and nurturing strong community voices. Our 26+ member organizations have a platform here for sharing information, resources, and ideas to better serve our communities. 1 – We strive to increase civic engagement through advocacy. 2- We are committed to fostering economic empowerment. 3 – We increase 2020 US Census awareness and drive voter registration. 5 – We maintain a healthy relationship with our funders.
WSGS shares information about genealogical activities and resources from individual members and local, county, state and national organizations. WSGS promotes the preservation of and access to public and private genealogical and historical information.
Founded in 1891 and now into its second century of service, the Washington State Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and vividly presenting Washington’s rich and storied history. The Historical Society offers a variety of services to researchers, historians, scholars, and lifelong learners, as well as operating the State History Research Center and the Washington State History Museum.
1) Maintaining the Jewish Archives at the University of Washington. 2) Presenting programs, workshops and exhibits that highlight the life and culture of the Jewish people and communities in Washington. 3) Collecting heirlooms, artifacts and oral histories for a future Jewish museum. 4) Conducting tours of Jewish landmarks in Seattle. 5) Publishing interesting books about Washington State Jewish history that are meaningful and relevant.
Too often in public education, the voices of youth are excluded and the response to racism is little to no action. No longer. N-YC unites anti-racist youth across Washington into one coalition that demands a seat at the table. As Shirley Chisholm once said, “If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.” We are youth with representation at dozens of schools across several districts — with loads of folding chairs. It’s time not just for the youth to be at the table but for anti-racism to be at the top of the agenda.
Washington State Native American Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault -WomenSpirit Coalition serves 29 tribes in WA State, providing technical assistance, consultation, training and raising public awareness on issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and sex trafficking and murdered and missing relatives.
