For 40 years, the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank has served the basic needs of low-income older adults and families as they experience food insecurity, inadequate nutrition, homelessness, social isolation and lack of opportunity.
Rise Together is a collaborative of six Seattle-area nonprofits working together to create equitable developments with and for community. Together, we are building over 400 new affordable homes in the Central District, Capitol Hill and White Center neighborhoods, alongside space for community programs, health and human services, and local minority-owned businesses.
Since 2005, Verde brings new environmental investments to Portland’s neighborhoods, involves community members in the planning and building of these investments, and ensures that low-income people and people of color directly benefit from these investments.
