We are dedicated to creating a safe space within the Seattle University School of Law where the unique experiences, opinions, challenges and successes of womxn of color are shared, discussed, and developed. We are a collective of individuals who identify as womxn of color, and womxn of color allies. We are open to all people who are ready to listen and engage in an open and honest dialogue about race, and gender in the law.

The Way to Justice was founded in 2020 by Virla Spencer and Camerina Zorrozua, BIPOC women with more than three decades of experience working in the justice system.
We believe that indigenous birth justice is present when indigenous people honor their ancestors by making the best decisions they can during pregnancy, childbirth, and after the baby arrives to ensure the next generation continues.
