BWiSTEM is dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring Black Women in STEM careers, as well as advocating for equitable and inclusive workplace environments that nurture diverse talent.
The Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship supported by Microsoft’s BAM-Employee Resource Group–is dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of Black and African American communities and encouraging students to pursue a career in technology. The Soul Food Festival’s purpose is to celebrate and educate the greater Treasure Valley region about African-American culture in order to enhance and nurture racial understanding and harmony within the community. Our programs include an annual Soul Food Festival that showcases African-American inspired soul food, music, dancing, and businesses. The festival may include workshops or demonstrations to educate the public about African-American history, traditional dances and music, hair care, and/or current social justice issues.
We’re building a more equitable future for all Washingtonians through services and advocacy that enable people to live healthier, more prosperous lives. The vision that guides us is of a strong and vibrant community, where all people have access to the basic human needs and opportunities that support their health, well-being and prosperity and that enable them to attain their full potential. In short, equity for all.
