For All

Originally built in 1920, The Capitol Theatre has been serving the community for nearly a century. Just after being purchased by the City of Yakima in 1975, much of the Capitol burned to the ground in a tragic fire, leaving nothing but a smoldering facade. The newly formed nonprofit, Capitol Theatre Committee, led fundraising efforts to restore the Theatre to its original glory. It reopened in 1978 (just 733 days after the fire).
Cascadia Art Museum is an educational, nonprofit organization that celebrates the rich tradition of the visual arts and design in the Northwest during the period 1860-1970.
At the Center for Children & Youth Justice (CCYJ), we’re changing the way young people experience the child welfare and juvenile justice systems—for the better. By listening to young people and working with partners across Washington State, we’re helping to redesign our child welfare and juvenile justice systems to meet children and youth’s unique needs. Every year we help improve the lives of 50,000 young people.
