Seattle, WA A multi-ethnic female-led sextet, En Canto is Seattle's only Forró band. Forró music is a combination of multiple Brazilian rhythms including baião, xote and arrasta-pé. The word refers to both the musical genre and the accompanying partner dance party events where it is heard.

Seattle, WA Choroloco is an acoustic trio of Seattle musicians brought together by their shared love of Brazilian music. The name Choroloco reflects their enthusiasm and love for choro, a highly melodic and rhythmic form of Brazilian popular music that originated in early 1900’s Rio de Janeiro.

Des Moines, WA We work toward offering opportunities for artists, young musicians to developing cultural and educational experiences with our new space. Besides BrasilFest, we created Arts Globo, a new program providing intergenerational safe space with activities programed in Des Moines. We prioritizing services to minority, vulnerable and at-risk populations through arts, educational program and for individuals artists. As recent anti-racism and anti-oppression efforts, we increased our board reflecting more diversity reflecting female as 60% of leadership, and 99% of immigrants as board of directors and staff.
