In addition to providing public safety and sanitation services, the CIDBIA coordinates several of the neighborhood’s major events including the Night Markets and Lunar New Year Celebration, in addition to Dragon Fest. The BIA also advocates on behalf of its constituents with respect to a host of public policy, planning, safety, and quality-of-life issues.

Bellingham, WA Founded in 2003, Mei Hua Chinese School is dedicated to educate the community about the Chinese language and culture. The name "Mei Hua" is a combination of the Chinese character 美 (měi), meaning beautiful , and 華/ 华 (huá/ simplified huá) meaning magnificent. In addition, 美 is also known as the abbreviation of America (美国 měi guó) and 華/ 华 also means China or Chinese.

Bothell, WA Yang Family Tai Chi is an association of centers, schools, instructors, and members who practice the art of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan. It offers one of the most complete training systems in Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan and is organized to include a teacher academy, instructor registry, judge registry, and ranking system. This allows members to progress from beginner level to advanced level or to become a highly qualified instructor of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan, depending on their goals.
