Ethiopian Observer is an information medium serving primarily Ethiopian communities around the world. It provides news, commentaries, articles, and essays regarding current issues on Ethiopia. It also links to other Websites around the world with relevant information on Ethiopia. We believe that the free flow of news, information and ideas on Ethiopia will contribute to the democratization of the Ethiopian society. A well-balanced, instructive and constructive media that upholds the ideals and principles of democracy is the best defense for Ethiopia and Ethiopians.

Seattle, WA Our Child Sponsorship Program directly supports vulnerable children and their families through monthly donations that provide food, shelter, clothing, and educational opportunities all the way through university or technical college. Our Richard Oslund Medical Clinic provides medical treatment, prenatal care, immunizations, family planning, and health education.

Seattle, WA Horn of Africa Services is a nonprofit that serves the East African immigrant and refugee community in Seattle. We serve individuals and families from Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, and neighboring countries that are living in the Greater Seattle area. Our services include social services, educational assistance, youth programs, and economic empowerment to address the needs of the community.

Seattle, WA Plate of Nations, the signature event of the MLK Business Association, was designed to collectively promote independently-owned restaurants in the MLK community. Immigrants from around the world have settled in the Rainier Valley and started businesses that provide cultural favorites for ethnic communities looking for a taste of home. Those restaurant owners are excited to welcome other customers to join in their traditions.
