The American Indian Health Commission (AIHC) for Washington State is a Tribally-driven non-profit organization with a mission of improving health outcomes for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) through a health policy focus at the Washington State level. AIHC works on behalf of the 29 federally-recognized Indian Tribes and two Urban Indian Health Organizations (UIHOs) in the state.
MAPS-AMEN is an outreach and advocacy organization that seeks to fulfill the justice mandate in Islam and empower the community by focusing on education, engagement, encouragement of positive media change, and empowerment. We build bridges of understanding and unity to achieve justice together, envisioning a world free of hate and violence.
The American Red Cross saves lives. When disaster strikes, we respond with food, shelter and hope. When barriers of distance, language or warfare separate loved ones, we open lines of communication. When families, co-workers and communities must prepare for emergencies, we help them take action.
The ARCE Northwest Chapter is based in Seattle and serves Washington State. We hold many lectures throughout the year on a wide-array of Egyptian-related topics (such as women, art, medicine, architecture, conservation) and time periods (Pharaonic, Islamic, Modern). This group is for members and non-members of the American Research Center in Egypt. We are open to all individuals who are interested in Egypt and the research being conducted there.
