Community Directory

The Museum operates a facility that promotes and celebrates quilting and the fiber arts. We sponsor activities that encourage textile preservation (classes, exhibits), and that provide information about traditions and techniques (workshops, lectures), and raise funds to support a nurturing space that welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and interests.
We increase resident voice to build a vibrant, multi-ethnic, and proud White Center community: by supporting resident-led activities, by strengthening resident connections & leadership, by creating opportunities to build relationships and more.
The White Center Food Bank began unofficially in the mid-1970’s as an emergency response to assist struggling families and individuals in the greater White Center and Highline areas during a major economic downturn. Much like today, many in the community were facing difficult economic conditions that left them in need of food resources. We were there then. We are here now. Please visit us at the White Center Food Bank if you are in need of assistance. We are here to help.
The White Pass Country Historical Museum’s collection includes historical artifacts, photos, and documents from the underwater town of Kosmos to the summit of White Pass. Included in our exhibits is information on local geographical features, themajor events and the local residents who have shaped the history of the area. The Whitener Group is a native-owned consulting group dedicated to the advancement and sustainability of tribes. At our root, we are a group of Whiteners along with a bunch of other industry experts that are confident enough to want to work with a group of Whiteners.
