Want to add yourself or a group to the EchoX community listing?
Community resource listings will grow organically as you and others are added! If you’re involved with community work related to EchoX themes – ethnic cultural heritage and social action – click ‘Sign Up’ in the upper right corner and add your own page to the Directory for free!

After clicking ‘Sign Up’ you will be taken to a form to fill out to create your account. Once you open your account, you’ll have ongoing access to an EchoX backend template where you may provide any information you want others to see. You can also add your own events to the calendar with details and artwork.

Send the EchoX link to your own supporters. Site visitors will learn more about you, your work and your events!

Discover Nikkei is an international network that celebrates cultural diversity and explores both global and local identities. The project connects generations and communities by sharing stories and perspectives of the Nikkei, people of Japanese descent who have migrated and settled throughout the world.

Discover Nikkei is a project of the Japanese American National Museum, made possible through the generous support of The Nippon Foundation. We work with community organizations and individuals to create a collaborative community space about Nikkei globally.
The main component of the project is an award-winning multi-lingual, multi-national site that shares the stories of Nikkei* living around the world. It’s also a place for people interested in the Nikkei experience to come together and connect.
Through the site, you can read articles in the Journal, post events, share photos, watch life history interview video clips, and explore various other resources about Nikkei communities in the U.S., Latin America, Canada, and in Japan. Navigation and content is available in English, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese.
We also work with community partners to host public programs, symposia, and other events so that you can join us virtually and in person for many of the topics explored through the site.
