Business & Nonprofit Resources

Following the inaugural APEC Leaders’ Meeting held in Seattle in 1993, 20 visionary American companies came together to establish a business organization based on a single compelling principle: the private sector should have a voice in APEC. In the 25 years since, NCAPEC has emerged as a leading advocate for free trade, open markets, and regional cooperation.

The National Center for APEC (NCAPEC) is a U.S. business association dedicated to advancing private sector policy priorities in the dynamic Asia-Pacific region.

NCAPEC works closely with its membership of approximately 50 U.S. Fortune 500 companies to create opportunities to engage with key policy makers to discuss the trade, investment, and regulatory issues that impact the growth and development of the Asia-Pacific region. NCAPEC also collaborates with business associations in other APEC economies to build broad private sector coalitions to bolster the impact of our efforts.

NCAPEC furthers its mission of facilitating dynamic public-private sector dialogue within the Asia-Pacific through its subsidiary, Pacific Summit Resources (PSR). PSR provides organizers of international, executive-level events, and business summits in the Asia-Pacific with a wide range of advisory services including program development, sponsor recruitment, marketing, and logistical support.

NCAPEC has a 25-year track record of launching innovative private sector initiatives in APEC; many of APEC’s most meaningful deliverables can trace their beginnings to the leadership and advocacy of NCAPEC Board Members.

NCAPEC furthers its mission of facilitating dynamic public-private sector dialogue within the Asia-Pacific through its subsidiary, Pacific Summit Resources (PSR). PSR was launched as an enterprise when the National Center for APEC managed the APEC 2011 CEO Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since its founding, PSR has provided the organizers of international, executive-level events, and business summits in the Asia-Pacific with a wide range of advisory services including program development, sponsor recruitment, marketing, and logistical support.
