Chiloquin, OR The Klamath council represented the Klamath people and their 860,000 acres of land. The General Council was set up as a representative body. It included all the men of the tribe, and later included the women after the nineteenth amendment was enacted. The General Council met sporadically as issues concerning members arose.

Portland, OR In 1953 farsighted tribal leaders in the Northwest formed the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, and dedicated it to tribal sovereignty and self-determination. Today, ATNI is a nonprofit organization representing 57 Northwest tribal governments from Oregon, Idaho, Washington, southeast Alaska, Northern California and Western Montana. ATNI is an organization whose foundation is composed of the people it is meant to serve.

Wilmette, IL Danish Brotherhood Lodge #29 based in Seattle is a member of the National Foundation for Danish America (NFDA), which was formed in 2019 with the goal of strengthening cooperation among Danish American organizations and ties between Denmark (or Danish Culture) AND persons who have a special interest or relationship with Denmark. There are approximately 1.5 Million Americans who claim at least partial Danish heritage, and call themselves “Danish Americans”. We aim to provide opportunities for Danish Americans and their clubs and organizations to network, coordinate, share and collaborate in order to preserve and promote Danish culture and heritage in America.

Stanley, ID The Stanley Historical Museum is located on State Highway 75, near the confluence of Valley Creek and the Salmon River. Located in historic Valley Creek Ranger Station, the Museum displays photographs and artifacts depicting the early days in the Sawtooth Valley, and offers a glimpse of pioneer life in this not-so-gentle landscape. The Museum is open daily, 11 am to 5 pm, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
