EchoX includes a steadily growing searchable database of organizations, groups, writers, artists and others organized by ethnicity, cultural focus, type of heritage work and/or type of community action. Check back often to see newly added listings!

Want to add yourself or a group to the EchoX community listing?
Community resource listings will grow organically as you and others are added! If you’re involved with community work related to EchoX themes – ethnic cultural heritage and social action – click ‘Sign Up’ in the upper right corner and add your own page to the Directory for free!

After clicking ‘Sign Up’ you will be taken to a form to fill out to create your account. Once you open your account, you’ll have ongoing access to an EchoX backend template where you may provide any information you want others to see. You can also add your own events to the calendar with details and artwork.

The Irish Cultural Society of the Pacific Northwest was founded in 2014 as a Washington State nonprofit corporation and took over running the Sean-nós Northwest Festival. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Sean-nós Northwest Traditional Irish Weekend celebrates and promotes three aspects of traditional Irish culture: sean-nós singing, sean-nós dancing, and the Irish language.

The first Sean-nós Northwest Festival was held in Portland, Oregon in 2008, and was a small one-day event organized by Portland singer David Ingerson, featuring Seán Williams (singing) and Maldon Meehan (dancing).  The festival grew steadily, eventually alternating between Portland and Olympia, Washington.  Sean-nós Northwest was organized as a Washington State nonprofit corporation in 2009 by founding Board members Seán Williams, David Ingerson, Maldon Meehan, Alicia Guinn, Kimberly Goetz, and Graham Smith.

In 2014, the Irish Cultural Society of the Pacific Northwest took over the responsibility of running the festival. We were awarded 501(c)(3) status in 2015.
