The birth and steady development of the Chinese Arts and Music Association in the United States signifies the potential merging of cultural and artistic perceptions of China and America.

In 2004, Martha Gonzalez and Quetzal Flores organized the first fandango workshop and in the following years, continued to perform and give workshops in the city. In 2008, Quetzal and Martha relocated to Seattle and connected with the few fandangueras/os in the city. Through small informal gatherings, this group shared their experience and knowledge of the fandango tradition and explored ideas to get more people involved. With a supportive community of artists, activist, and educators, the Seattle Fandango Project (SFP) coalesced in the summer of 2009 with the purpose of building a fandango community in Seattle and connect it to the larger movement in other parts of the United States and in Mexico.
The Fandango traditions of Veracruz, Mexico, use music, singing, and dancing to generate a spirit of convivencia—of living and being in community. For a decade, musicians in Veracruz and in California have built a movement of convivencia through Fandango Sin Fronteras (Fandango Without Borders). The Seattle Fandango Project brings this movement to Seattle through workshops, concerts, and public discussions with guest artists. Come experience, and learn!

SALISH SEA BUTOH is a collective of USA-based dancers, performers and multimedia artists -- originally co-founded by Iván-Daniel Espinosa and Cosmo Rapaport -- in the Pacific Northwest to deepen the study and exploration of Japanese Butoh and Butoh performance.

We perform lively folkloric dances from cultures of the Middle East, American belly dance, and innovative fusion dances.

We are members of many tribes. Many are from Alaska - the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, and the Aleut. Some are from Washington state. They are the Muckleshoot and Quileute tribes. We invite you to accept the gift of our dance and to listen to our songs, which were passed on through the generations of our people.

The Irish Cultural Society of the Pacific Northwest was founded in 2014 as a Washington State nonprofit corporation and took over running the Sean-nós Northwest Festival. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Sean-nós Northwest Traditional Irish Weekend celebrates and promotes three aspects of traditional Irish culture: sean-nós singing, sean-nós dancing, and the Irish language.

Orkestar RTW is a five-piece band based in Seattle, Washington that began in 1987 as the house band for the Radost Folk Ensemble. Orkestar RTW primarily plays traditional dance and folk music from the countries of Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Serbia.

The Leela Kathak Dancers are a group of young dancers from Seattle, Washington, who would like to share with you the joy of dancing Kathak with you. Kathak is a classical dance of North India that combines beautiful movement, spectacular cross rhythms, story-telling and expression. The Leela Kathak Dancers are the students of Urmila Nagar who is the leading dancer of Jaipur style Kathak and the senior-most professor of dance at India's national institution for Kathak: the Kathak Kendra in New Delhi.

Carl Shutoff (clarinet in C) and Laurie Andres (accordion) constitute the Kesselgarden Klezmer Duo in Seattle, WA, where we have been playing together for the last 16 years. Our name comes from the way Yiddish-speaking Jews pronounced "Castle Garden", the facility on the southern tip of Manhattan where Jewish immigrants entered this country prior to the opening of Ellis Island in 1892.
